This item is in Mint Condition. An exceptional piece and rare. Puma has made the Springer model for a very brief period in the early 1950s and again in 1971. The control number for this knife is found between the brass liners.  The 1971 model was made with the etching on the blade for both the Stainless version 0983 and the Carbon Steel version 0982. This version also had dark jig-bone handles rather than the Sambar stag on the 1950s model. The Springer Stamp is missing from the bolster and has been moved to the blade etching.
